Captain
Joe Collins was born in Australia and his family moved to New Zealand when he was three years old. He spent the next 23 years living in New Zealand and at the age of eight his love for the sea and boating began.
Joe has over twenty years experience in both commercial and pleasure vessels. He has lived in New Zealand, America, Norway, United States, South East Asia and Australia.
Joe says “You have to have a passion to be in this game” and when he is discussing daily itineraries, diving, walks, cruising the vessel or just sitting around and enjoying the view, Joe’s passion and adventure shines through.
Joe has many funny and interesting stories/experiences to share. He is very well read and knows South East Asian waters extremely well. He believes the east coast of Thailand and the west coast of Thailand and Malaysia have some of the most breathtaking views in the world, with the most beautiful islands and reefs you can imagine! You can be assured Joe will ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for both crew and guests at all times!
Engineer
Paul is originally from Adelaide in South Australia where he spent over 15 years working as a diesel mechanic and as a technician in the oil and gas industry. In 2007 he turned his passion for the ocean and travelling into a career and gained his commercial marine engineering certification in Cairns North Queensland. He has since served as engineer on both private and charter vessels operating in the waters of Far North Queensland, the Caribbean and United States, and now South East Asia aboard Amnesia. When not at sea Paul spends his time visiting friends and family , mountain biking, diving, and travelling whenever possible.
Nai Yeamsri (Khun Nie) - 2nd Engineer
Khun Nie is one of the three Thais we have on Amnesia. His role is to assist the engineer and he works as an extra deck hand when required. Khun Nie is an extremely hard worker, diligent and one of his greatest strengths is his attention to detail. He enjoys learning how to speak better English and keeping Amnesia in fantastic condition. Khun Nie enjoys climbing, mountaineering and kayaking.
Jufri Saefudin – 1st Mate
Khun Jufri has been in the boating game all his life - if Jufri did not wake up of a morning near water he would be lost! He grew up in a small fishing village in Indonesia. Khun Jufri speaks English and Bahasa Indonesia and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. His experience and dedication will ensure that the time you spend on board Amnesia will be very relaxed and carefree. Jufri enjoys helping out wherever he can. He loves life and meeting new people and enjoys sharing his passion for fishing with others.
Rusiel Roche - Cook
Khun Rusiel was born in the Phillipines and her passion for food commenced from an early age. Thanks to her mother and grandmother, Khun Rusiel grew up in a world surrounded by culinary delights. She has been working as a chef on boats for over ten years and enjoys cooking Thai and Indian style cuisine, using only the freshest ingredients. However, Khun Rusiel is able to cater for any dietary requirements.
Nukul Karaket (Khun Odd) - Deck hand
Khun Odd is our local Thai representative, who knows the Thai waters like the back of his hand. He loves to take guests to the most beautiful beaches that only the locals know how to get to, and believes that there are no better beaches anywhere in the world! Married with three children, Khun Odd has an infectious smile that is evident nearly twenty four hours a day. Very much liked by the guests on Amnesia, he loves to entertain the kids all day long. Khun Odd has completed staff safety training courses and is an asset to MY Amnesia. He looks forward to ensuring your experience with us is a lasting memory!
Chitrapaha Pariwetang (Khun Mun) - Stewardess
Khun Mun was born in Thailand in a little village north of Bangkok. Khun Mun is the all-rounder who can not do enough for crew or guests. She would captain the boat if we let her in the bridge area! Khun Mun’s friendly personality and beautiful smile has touched people from the United States to Australia to Europe!
